One reason why women earn less than men is women take care of the children. Who do children call when they are sick? They call mom at work. The wage reflects these interruptions at work. This is one theory.
I disagree. It does not take into account: women without children men who leave early for golf women who do not receive calls from their children (their children are healthy or another contact was prearranged) It still boils down to men being perceived as the breadwinners and women as the weaker sex.
