Recently there's been a push in education to collaborate on projects. It is my understanding that working together brings about a synergy that is greater than the sum of the parts. Today, I attended the HNI annual shareholders meeting and heard Chairman and CEO Stan Askren talk about the new furniture that is shaping public education. I wonder if collaboration actually does create synergy.
Google makes sharing easy by using Google Documents. Facebook, Twitter, and most sites now make sharing easy with a host of share options. People who share their work on YouTube have saved me hours of time. But if you want to really learn something, I think you have to isolate yourself and work really hard. I will say again and again, the learning curve approaches the square root of X where "X" is the hours worked in active study.
